I went for an early morning flight with another KitFox from my field yesterday, The sun was just coming up as I arrived at the hanger.

We did an easy flight to a couple of other fields in our area. Both within 40 miles of our home field. The air was smooth and the Foxes took us for a great smooth early morning flight. An air to air shot of my companion KitFox.

Magical morning and back in the hange by 11am. I sometimes think pilots that don't get out til noon just don't get it. I love the smooth air.

Yes, most of the smoke and fires have subsided, which is wonderful. There was still smoke and fire by by Deadwood Reservoir, which was the reason we couldn't land at Garden Valley during the KF flyout.

We had a runaway fire the other day.
14000 Ha destroyed and many farms burned out completely!
    In this drought too.......!!!!!!!!!

The pic is not from my Foxy Feet, but the fire spotter C182. They almost couldn't fly either because of the winds.

Hope your place and your neighbours houses escaped Reid!? The power of fire is terrifying and obviously makes no distinction between continents!

    Best wishes

    Thanks Ross.
My brothers took a small knock, but nothing they won't recover from.
We're all battling to host the poor burned out farmer's livestock until it rains, so that they aren't ruined ( The drought has hit us all hard).

Farmers from far afield have been helping out with grazing for thousands of cattle and tens of thousands of sheep.
We've been given all kinds of hay from all over the country for just the diesel costs of transport.

Farmers are great, the world over....

I'll have to look and see if we can embed videos. I'm hoping to do more and get better at editing.

    Larry,

Nice video. I like both wing & cockpit views. Partial to more from the cockpit, it's interesting to see the instruments, perspective and what the pilot is doing.

Was this last one done after your gear mod?
