That's beautiful, SwiftFox! Man, that house on the ridge really looks inaccessible - there must be a road buried under all that snow!
That's one of the huts maintained by the Alpine Club of Canada. They have them spattered around and you can book them so you have a solid roof to use as a base camp for climbing the summits in the area. You can usually stay for 30 - 40 bucks a night and a lot of them you have to climb just to get to.
The perfect combination: Airplane, Rifle & Fly Rod!
How did the huts get there in the first place?
Thanks for posting the photos of those amazing mountains and the Kitfox that takes you there! I guess you only go up there on calm days!? Beautiful.
cheers

WOW!
Swiftfox and Esser, thank you so much for posting those.
Ross, on one of your pictures along the river, there looks like what could have been some terracing for cultivation in years gone by?
Is that a wine or nut/fruit area?
Fly safe and have
fun.

Reid
DF The heaters work well but my plane leaks like a sieve! Gotta get that looked at... Was a beauty high pressure day with 10kts upper wind max. Think I'm going to head back to Golden BC again this weekend. Seems to be similar conditions!
SwiftFox, you live in a beautiful part of the world and the pictures you've posted are spectacular. My son lives in Whistler BC and on visits, I'm blown away with the truly magic scenery of Canada.
