That's what I figured, about 1/2 gallon in each tank does not drain out thru the exit port. I also didn't bother to drain the header tank, 1+ gallon, before I did the W&B. Engine also had oil and coolant.

What's Yours in Australia, Ross?
My 5 with a Franklin 4A-235-B31 is 435kg:eek: ( 960lbs)
Yikes!
That's a whole bag of sheep feed heavier than all you guys!
I still haul enough, though.

G'day Reid,
sorry to be slow - I've been a bit busy lately. Mine was pretty heavy. 397kg = 875lbs. Heavy duty gear, 26" Airstreaks, most options, Airmaster CSP, 912is sport, 75" prop, measured with wing tanks empty, but header tank full, oil and coolant. Earth X battery. Heater. dual controls and brakes.... not sure what else.... must be some lead there somewhere!!
But it flies well!

I had a heart attack when I weighed my plane yesterday. 946#!!! I then stood on one of the scales and it said I was 13lbs heavier than I am so I think I have some inaccurate scales. Going to try to source some different ones today. I have some extra weight with intercooler etc but not 100lbs extra!!!
878. Heavier than I hoped but I have lots of performance goodies so it makes sense that it adds up. My prop and intercooler alone would be almost 40lbs
My 5 with steam gauges 833 Lbs. I too weighed with a set of scales and didn't make sense. Borrowed Digital Race cars scales. Weight came down 30+ Lbs. Original scales came from my EAA chapter and looked like bathroom scales with ramps. Didn't trust them from get-go.
