40 hours!
I completed my 40 hrs this morning. The last thing i did was max gross of 1550 lb flight. I was impressed at how well it got off the ground and a climb out of 600 ft/min @ 60 mph with no wind. I know those numbers dont impress a lot of folks but im running an o200 and i thought that was pretty good. My ias is about 103 mph @ 2500 rpm.

Re: 40 hours!
Congrats Ken. That's a huge milestone. And now is when the fun really starts...enjoying the years of effort resulting in a proven airplane that you built yourself.
I don't know about others, but those numbers sound pretty good to me. I think it would be great if more "non-Rotax" powered Kitfox owners would share their performance numbers with all of us. That could help to encourage others that just don't want to use the Rotax (for whatever reason: preference for a standard aircraft engine, lack of familiarity with a Rotax, costs, complexity, etc, etc...).
So please share more of what you learn about your Kitfox as you contue enjoying it.

Re: 40 hours!
That's great Ken. That's a logbook entry that gives pretty good satisfaction when you reflect on all the time and effort that got you there. I hope the plane gives you a lot of interesting adventures.
