Pal came to visit on the farm the other day in a J430 and decided to accompany them for a little way after they departed.
It has been two months since I had my kitfox up. Yesterday I drained the old gas out and got the ambition to take a lap around the valley.
Farmers have started putting up Barn Quilts. This custom started in Ohio I think. The quilts are supposed to have something to do with the history of the ranch or its owners. This one is called "Eight Pointed Star".

Nice pics. Don't you just love spring!!!!

Spring is good! Yesterday I flew though a cloud of NoSeeEms. It was a big black cloud and you could sure see 'em! Black smudge all over my windscreen, leading edges, cowling and struts. Then I landed and splattered fresh cow dung all over my starboard door, strut, wing and flaperon. What a fly day!!
WARNING: This one is a little long.
The title is, The Hawk And The Fox. It is the video story of two guys taking their neighbors for a morning flight in Utah. It all starts out when these guys decide to have their morning coffee at the top of a deserted island in the Great Salt Lake, then .....

That was nice, Steve! I'll be heading to Salt Lake next month for a Thorp fly-in (at U42).
What size tires do you run?
John,
I just changed from 6:00x6 to 8:00x6 and love them. I've found 12# psi to be just right for me. Now believe this or not, because I can't figure it out, but I actually increased my cruise speed at 5,000 rpm from 90 to 92 mph with the larger tires.
