Pilgrimage...
My wife and I just arrived home after an extended, 5000 mile, road trip from northern Wisconsin to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.
While in the neighborhood, we diverted for a day in order to make our pilgrimage to the Mecca of Kitfox-ism, Homedale ID. The McBeans were generous with their busy time to give us a couple hour tour of their facility in order to show off all of the exciting things going on there.
Of course while there we refrained from any photography as to not reveal any of the high-tech, super secret Skunk-Works type next level shi-stuff happening there. Needless to say lots of cool projects in the pipeline, stay tuned. Sworn oaths and binding non-disclosures are on file as we speak...
"Photos are available at the gift shop at the end of the tour..."
Thank you very much John and Deb for your time. It was very enjoyable. I can't wait to get back there for next year's fly-in.

Re: Pilgrimage...
That's a lot of road miles. Beautiful locations to visit.
Happy you got to Homedale.
Was this your first visit to the factory?

Yes, that was my first trip to the home office…
Here's a couple shots from my phone. I haven't downloaded the pics off the camera, yet…

Re: Pilgrimage...
What a great trip, Larry... those areas have all been my "stomping grounds" for most of my life. Having been born in the mid-West (Chicago), I appreciate the beauty of Wisconsin and that area, but having grown up in Montana and marrying a Montana gal... the mountains & the West is where my heart is.

Re: Pilgrimage...
Yes, beautiful pictures! Glad you had a nice trip.
We just got back this afternoon from spending the weekend at Yellowstone. What a spectacular park our country has set aside for our enjoyment. Our favorite thing was spotting a mother grizzly with two cubs; we spotted them near Mammoth Hot Springs.
Smiley Creek is on my short list of places to go, it's only an hour from here. I've been there once with a Quest Kodiak in 2009, but plan to go there soon with the Kitfox.
I was at the KF factory last week and saw some of the works in process. No spoilers, but go to Oshkosh if you can and visit the KF booth. :)
