Re: Anyone have Spruce make their rudder cables?
Ok, what concerns me is the paragraph from mandatory service bulletin #52 which reads,
"Regardless of the apparent visual condition of the cables, the affected aircraft must have the proper combination of stainless cables and plated sleeves installed within three years from the date the cables were installed."
So if I have galvanized cables is my aircraft not "affected"?
Re: Anyone have Spruce make their rudder cables?
I don't know what the cost difference would be, but, every A&P mechanic has swedging tools and knows how to do a cable tension test. I'd ask around a little.
