Mine is a retina display, maybe it's an iPad III, I know I have taken it to the Apple store, and they even commented how hot it gets.

Finally, the panel is done (for now). Dynon D-10A with AP74 autopilot, Garmin GTX 327, GTR 200 and Rotax engine instruminets. GPS for now is Garmin 500, subject to change after Oshkosh. Lettering was by silkscreen from the SolidWorks file used to design the panel. A vendor used the SolidWorks file to cut the panel from .080 thick 6061-T6 aluminum, using waterjet cutter. It took 14 minutes to cut out the entire panel and cost $60. Silkscreen and printing was another $145.
Wow that looks great!
This is my simple but does all that I could need panel. Now I can run the engine and move along.
Milestone achieved, panel ready for painting
Stby ASI and ALT is a requirement by the Swiss FAA, Com VHF Garmin GTR225A, iPad mini with Airnav Pro
Thanks to all that have posted here as it has given me lots of inspiration in planning my panel. Now it's time to return the favor.
Here is the latest iteration of my Super Sport panel plans.
Garmin G3X touch screen, GTR 200 radio, Ipad Mini in a flypad mount, GDL 39R ADS-B and GTX 23ES remote transponder.
Almost time to start cutting holes.
That looks really nice! I am planning on the the same panel as yours. I will be putting my iPad Mini in the portrait position, not in the landscape position like yours.
I like the idea of having the GTR-200 instead of the remote GTR-20.
I am hoping to get mine painted in the next month and the panel and electrical will will be the next big task.
Thanks,
Originally, I was going to use the GTR-20 remote radio and save a couple hundred dollars. But Garmin's remote boxes seem really large. I ended up mounting the transponder behind the pilot's seat. Then couldn't find enough room left over on my avionics shelf behind the panel for the remote radio. I do like the idea of being able to still control the radio if the EFIS screen goes kafooey though.
Done

This photo was taken a couple of weeks ago. Haven't been able to work on the Kitfox since then. I'm doing the annual on the old Cessna and there are a lot of issues.
I'll be back at it in a week or two!
That looks very nice Tom!
You're getting there!
