It finally came in. And it came in the biggest crate I've ever seen!! I have all the large pieces stashed away, all that is left is for us to do the inventory before we can start. I'd also like to take this opportunity to have builders out there to post pictures of their work areas, maybe we can learn a thing or two from each other. Building will commence shortly!
Jorge, congrats, I know you've been waiting patiently. I'll try to get some shots of my garage soon as requested. That is an important considertion to those who might be wondering if they have enough space or not.
Now let's hope the Euro goes back down relative to the US dollar so we can get reasonable prices on our engines. I guess I'm assuming you'll be installing a Rotax, yes?
I was impressed by the new Lycoming IO-233-LSA . Electronic ignition and fuel injection. The weight looks good. 200-210 lbs including alternator and lightweight starter. 100hp @2400rpm 116hp@ 2800rpm. Has 2400 TBO. This engine may be a contender.
In my part of the country, Lycoming mechanics are everywhere.
