Re: Where I Fly.
Its 0930 and already 37'c - heading for a forecast 41 today so we decided to get out early for a bump free flight! Over in the next valley there is a nice grass strip called Porepunkah. Met Craig there in his Mk4 with new wheels and tyres before flying up to Mt Buffalo right beside the airstrip - you can see the grand old chalet perched on the edge of a 2000ft drop - it awaits someone willing to inject the funds needed to restore it to its former glory - in the meanwhile, hang gliders love it as a launch spot!
Lovely flight and all only 20 mins flight time from Mt Beauty.
cheers

Re: Where I Fly.
Not in a Kitfox, but flew over the Rio Grande gorge with a student on a short cross-country to Taos.

Re: Where I Fly.
After a week of scud and rain, we were treated to a 60 degree spring-like day here the Portland, OR region. Down under- like wx! Eat your heart out, Rossir🤣

Re: Where I Fly.
Love the pics Floog! I was out in the same general area the same day, only later in the afternoon. A perfect, warm (59F), smooth day. Could have stayed up forever, except for bladder and early sunset.

Re: Where I Fly.
Not fair---3 degrees F here---where is our share of global warming?

Re: Where I Fly.
Great pics as always Doug! Looks really rugged and wild there!
While you had a upward reversal of temps we had a downward - went from 41'c last week to 17'c today and up again to 39 by the end of the week.
Glad to see you are still working the orange beast.
cheers

Re: Where I Fly.
Giving credit where it's due: great pictures were taken by my longtime friend and co-pilot, Scott M. who will often drop everything to go for a ride in a Kitfox. What a blast!
