Rory, If you have a transponder, you'll need an avionics shop to check it annually. You'll also need to get your ELT checked out by a shop certified in that work. Cheers, Ackselle
2) For the annuals.... you have to send in your form saying that it was completed. If you did the inspection, you will acknowledge that in your return. Yo must also record the "completion" of the inspection in your log book. Your inspection can take the entire year, so long as it was completed on a specific date (I use and complete the Kitfox inspection document as my log of inspection progress... which took me about 2 months last year..... but I kept flying throughout my inspection). 3) There's much more to be aware of, but you'll learn that as you wade through the joy of ownership.
