  1. An update as to why fuel is coming from the carb overflow tubes on my rotax 912 UL engine. I called Lockwood aviation and they explained to me that when I swapped the intake manifolds around to locate the carbs farther out from the engine for cooling, This opened them up to the floats bobbing from engine vibration. This is why they seem to overflow at idle. When we get it up to about 2300 rpm, the problem disappears. They told me the best thing is to balance the carbs as close as possible to help eliminate engine vibration.
  2. My son and I are calibrating the carbs on my Rotax 912 on my kitfox IV (taildragger config)and found that there is fuel coming from both overflow tubes on the carborators. This is a brand new engine that never has been run. The fuel pressure is fine at seven psi. Has anyone got any suggestions as to why this is happening?

    UPDATE

After getting the carberators balanced and the crossover line hooked back up we found that the right carb stopped leaking and the left only leaks at ideal. It quits at about 2500 rpm. I'm going to drop the float cover and check the needle valve for dirt.
