  1. George,
I really like the Grove gear. It is wide, strong yet forgiving and I think it makes my plane look good. My Grove gear is gun drilled so the brake lines screw into the cross bar under the plane, then they screw in at the bottom next to the wheels. I like that a lot as there is no brake line to catch in the weeds. I also purchased Grove brakes and wheels. All good stuff.

    hi steve
was wondering if all the brake and wheel parts fit the grove gear ,or did you have to buy extra.

hey sky steve do you know if your engine mount is a factory one or did someone build it
  5. Man, I have no idea. I know I way overpaid for mine at $20,000, but it had the 912, a lot of nice mods and it has history being it was Dan Denney's personal plane and the fist factory demo. I don't know of any other model I's in my area.

    Hi SkySteve
Thanks for your info regarding model I or II. So by the way, do you know the price for a model I with the Rotax two stroke in your part of the world? This model I is now in Denmark.
  7. I've only done it twice. It takes about an hour for the conversion. I've found I can land just about anywhere I want (even where there is no runway) with the trigear and it is soooooo much easier to see and taxi from the trigear. My bird will land slow (35mph) and it is easy to hold the nose up in the air until I want to set it down.

    Steve,
How often do you switch from tri to Tail and how long does it really take to switch back and forth?

    Steve,
I purchased my mod 1 already flying. The builder had also extended the vertical stab and rudder. While flying and operating the rudder I noticed a large deflection of the vert stab. This caused me some concern. After inquiring I was told the mod 4 has a larger stab leading and trailing tube. I added 1/16" flying wires from rudder hinge to top of the bolts for horz stab braces and that removed the identifiable deflection.
