  2. Hey Skot,
Very nice to meet you at Iola today. I noticed you were taking some pictures when I took off, if possible could you email me an inflight picture if you have one. I really don't have any. Again, it was a pleasure to talk to you. Dan
  3. Skot,

Yes you are correct. The original round tubing strut worked well until my emergency landing back in May which bent it down severely(do to fork digging into wet marsh grass) until It broke off at the rubber isolators attach point. I did replace it with the current style and seems to work fine, also used my original wheel, fork and mounting brackets to the fuselage. As I stated in an earlier post, the part from the McBean's was 495.00 which I thought wasn't too bad. The streamline strut does seem beefed up compared to my original. Good luck to you Skot.

  4. Dan,

Is your nosegear strut (the one you have now) the same as the later models? I see in some of your pictures your plane has the thin round tube nose gear strut and in one or two it shows the streamlined (internally reinforced) version. I assume the one that got broken was the thinner one. I still have to solve my crack issue somehow. Your KF sure is cute. Skot
  5. Hi Skot, I just wanted to know the ski plane fly in is Feb. 15. The wrong date Feb. 22 somehow got posted on our website. Sorry for giving you the wrong info. All other info sent to you is correct.

  6. WOW Skot, you have a really nice looking aircraft! I'm jealous.
Where do you base you airplane? Mine is at Waupaca PCZ. So really close to 68C, almost to close! I belong to EAA 444 (Northport) a really nice grass field between Waupaca and New London. We have a ski/wheel plane fly in on the Feb. 22 there and can give more info if your interested. Good to hear from you!
