This is a CAD drawing I made for my panel. It was helpful to confirm the fit, positions and give the XY coordinates. You might notice I didn't draw the side and top curves, but they aren't really important. I referenced everything to the bottom left corner for the dimensions.
I am going to use a milling machine where I work that has a digital readout of the table position. This should allow me to get everything just right using the CAD XY dimensions (if I don't make any mistakes).
I recently got "checked out" on the milling machine at work. I have been using it to make a cut away PT6 engine for the classes I teach at work. This has been a fun project too. Last year I helped develop and build a run-up stand with a PT6A-34 engine (750 SHP). That has been good practice for doing my Kitfox panel. I got to make the panel and hook everything up on the PT6 stand.
