Here is rough drawing of my instrument panel that I made with Paintbrush.
I am going to install a G3X Touch system, GTR-200 Com radio, GTX-23 transponder and GDL-39R ADSB receiver. I will put the Com and an iPad Mini (with an Air Gizmo mount) in the center. This makes for a very functional and clean panel. The right section will only have circuit breakers, an eyeball vent and the headset jacks. I may add a glove box to the right side, there certainly is room.
I have a molded fiberglass panel that was an option with the KF 5 series. The G3X is a tight fit, but it will work. The black color is the fiberglass and the grey is the two sheet metal pieces that fit into the LT & RT recesses of the panel.
I will need to make a bracket for my engine controls to go below the panel, the iPad and Com take up the whole spot.
