Me landing the Kodiak during a self checkout at Pagai. This was an easy strip; flat, 1800' long, the elevation was near sea level. We used this as a weather alternate between the coast and mountain strips.
My friend, a JAARS pilot, took this picture was flying the Pilatus Porter. Sadly he died in that very plane in 2011 when he got into IMC in a narrow mountain pass and got into a stall spin.
