My Hay Burner,..BlackJack is a rescued retired track horse..tatoo'd..a 16.5 hand thouroughbred,.. since I got him I have taught him to shake hands like a dog,..to shake his head yes if you ask him if he wants a treat,..he can run 42 mph,..he is 1 of 4 hay burners we have,.. he went down the 2nd day we had him,..he was abused prior to our purchase,.it took 4 days and nights of me bottle feeding him with a coffee,..sugar,..molasses and water blend to get him back on his feet,..this was 2 years ago,..today ..every morning that I go out to feed the horses..he is the first to greet me at the gate and always greets me with a neigh and a gentle rub on my shoulder,..he has a great disposition.
